Busy Meter setup guide
Busy Meter is a status light with six stars that shows how busy you are. A free Windows app reads your camera, microphone, Teams, calendar and Slack, and sets the meter for you. You can also tap the meter by hand.
What the meter shows #
| Stars | Level | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| None (only the light along the bottom) | Free | Come on in |
| 1 | Away | Stepped out, back soon |
| 2 | Focus | Heads down, knock first |
| 3 | On a call | Quick questions by text |
| 4 | In a meeting | Wait until it clears |
| 5 | Presenting | Screen is shared |
| 6 | Do not disturb | Emergencies only |
| All six flash red and blue | Flash | Please don't come in (your camera is on, or someone double-tapped) |
A completely dark meter means it's off: your PC is asleep or off, the app isn't running, or syncing is paused.
